Biography

A product of the Inverness CT youth system, defender Stephen signed his first professional contract with the Inverness club in 2014. He made his debut for the U20 side in the Challenge Cup and later spent the second half of the 2015-16 season on loan at Fort William where he had his first taste of Highland League football.

Stephen moved on loan to Rothes in February of 2017 before making a permanent switch to the MacKessack Park club in the summer. After one season as a regular in the side, he was transferred to Strathspey Thistle, where he spent two seasons. Following a spell not playing during the Covid break, Stephen briefly returned to the Jags before moving on loan to North Caledonian League side Inverness Athletic. He then left Thistle at the end of the 2021-22 season.

Having played a number of games as a trialist for Brora Rangers and County to begin the 2022-23 season, Stephen opted to sign at Station Park on September 13, agreeing a deal until the end of the season. On January 3, he signed a contract extension to keep him at the club until the summer of 2024.
