Nairn County 1 - 2 Deveronvale

League (HFL)

Timeline

  • Signed For Nairn County

  • The sun may have been shining down on Nairn today but unfortunately lady luck wasn't for County as they were narrowly edged out by current Highland League champions Deveronvale by two goals to one. In fact the Vale appear to getting the rub of the green from all angles already this season just as they did last time out and as we all know luck plays a huge part in winning the title.

  • Last Appearance - Rothes 1 - 1 Nairn County

Nairn collect their first point since the turn of the year but really should have had three if they put in the performance the fans know the players are capable of. Only a string of fine stops from stand-in skipper Michael rae prevent the hosts from collecting the three points. Martin Bell re-called Gary Farquhar to the starting line-up for the injured Ian Brooks while Steve Sanderson was handed a rare start as youngster Robbie Duncanson dropped down to the bench. Paul McDonald made way at the back for the returning Steven Edwards in what was the final of Bell's three changes from the side that lost through in Fraserburgh a fortnight ago.
