Scott Kellacher (19)
After 2 very good performances within a week the County faithful had high hopes going into todays clash with last seasons league runners up Deveronvale but the goods weren't delivered.
This visitors nearly went in front after only 3 minutes when a Chisholm header hit the upright and went over. But this only spurred the visitors on and when a mix up in the Nairn defence occured on 10 minutes Murray was there to slam home from 8 yards.
But going behind was the slap in the face that County needed and went forward and claimed an equalizer with their first shot of the game when Kellacher slammed home from 20 yards hitting it first time and into the keepers bottom left hand corner after 19 minutes. The home side were unlucky not to go in front when Sanderson's chip just edged over the keepers crossbar. On 41 minutes Vale were awarded an indirect free kick were a schoolboy mistake from Sinclair forced Rae to handle a pass back in his own box. The resulting strike from 10 yards was cleared by the Nairn defence.
The second half started the same as the first ended with the visitors on the attack and it wasn't long until they were back in front. A bad mistake from County captain Dave Macdonald allowed Murray to nip in and grab his second of the afternoon. Further defensive mistakes, this time from Steven Edwards allowed McKenzie to put the Banffers 3-1 slotting the ball home in off the post. Nairn's best chance of the half fell to Ian Brooks but he should of done a lot better with a free header he put wide from 10 yards. Gary Farquhar had the last chance of the day but his drive from 18 yards went over the Vale bar.
