2 - 2
Nairn kept up their unbeaten away record for the season today with a credible away win at Lossie that should of seen the visitors come away with all three points after domininating the game. Ronnie Sharp made 1 change in personnel to the team that won away at Rothes by replacing th unavailable Johnny Seaton with the returning Steven Edwards but there was some tatical tinkering done by the Nairn gaffer.
Nairn started the better of the 2 sides and could of been ahead on the opening minutes if Gary Farquhar had hit his shot from the edge of the box with a bit more venom. County went behind though after failing to clear their lines from a free kick when the striker slotted past Wood from 5 yards. Nairn were further behind after 40 minutes again after some defensive woes when Steven Edwards mis-judged a long ball allowing the man he was marking to have a one on one with Wood and leaving the Nairn goalie with no chance. The visitors were back in it not long after though, when Kellacher did well in the box before getting the ball wide to Ewing who's cross was put into the back of the net with a brave overhead kick from Gary Farquhar, who injured himself in the process but managed to play on.
County continued their momentum into the second half got the equalizer they deserved when Willie Barron made a positive forward run through the home defence but was denied twice by the keeper before the ball fell to Kellacher who showed Barron how it was done by slamming the ball home from all of 3 yards. County could of so easily taken the lead minutes later if the cross from the right had been only inches lower it would of made contact with Brooks' head and there was no doubt he would of stuck it away from 5 yards out. Lossie created their only chances of the half in the last 10 minutes when the game was played at a high tempo with both sides hunting a winner. The hosts won several corners in a row but none of them caused any real major threat to Wood's goal.
