Nairn got their first points on the board after a hard fought victory at Dudgeon Park against Brora Rangers. The visitors had to twice come from behind to grind out the result and once they claimed the lead the hosts couldn't get back into things.
Ronnie Sharp made one change to the side that narrowly lost to Deveronvale last week by dropping Brian Macleod to the bench and replacing him with the returning Garry Ewing.
Nairn could not have got off to a worse start though when poor defending allowed Neil Calder to latch onto a cross from the right at the backpost to give Brora the lead on the first minute.
Nairn almost replied immediately when the home side's keeper flapped at a Sinclair cross from the left and Farquhar's drilling shot from Seaton's lay off came back off of the foot of the post.
Nairn were dealt a massive injury blow when keeper Michael Rae had to go off injured to be replaced by Michael A. Rae.
County then grabbed an equaliser in the tenth minute when a Kellacher corner went all the way through to Seaton on the right. He swung the ball back into the danger area to be met by the head of Gary Farquhar who powered the ball past the home keeper from 12 yards.
The visitors then looked to go on and claim the lead and came close to doing so but Garry Ewing's 30 yard effort went just over the bar on 17 minutes.
A minute after that however and Brora were back in front when some poor Nairn defending allowed Gary Martin through on goal and he slotted home to give his side the lead again.
Holmes then had an effort for Nairn from 18 yards but it went just over the crossbar on 23 minutes and Kellacher also went close 20 minutes later but his shot lacked power and was saved.
County equalized bang on the stroke of half time though when a Sinclair ball from the left was met by the head of Holmes who knocked it down perfectly for stand-in skipper Brooks to stab through the keepers legs.
Seven minutes into the first half and Ronnie Sharp was given some more injury worries when Scott Kellacher had to be carried off of the park and taken to hospital with a suspected broken ankle.
Nairn then took the lead with the first real chance of the second 45 on 65 minutes when a quick Sinclair free kick on the halfway line was met first time by a Holmes volley on the right edge of the box. His thundering effort from 20 yards went over the keeper into the roof of the net to give Nairn the lead for the first time in the encounter.
Three minutes later and Nairn went close again when a Farquhar free kick from the left edge of the box was tipped round the post by the keeper for a corner.
Brora then looked to apply the pressure to grab a precious equalizer but couldn't really carve out anymore chances and Nairn held on for their first three points of the season.
