Nairn County completed their North War League home fixture programme with a victory over the RAF at Nairn on Saturday, but the visitors were a trifle unlucky to be behind.
The Airmen took the lead within ten minutes when Paterson scored.
In the twentieth minute, Hazle converted a penalty to consolidate the visitors' lead.
Nairn spurted, and Johnstone did the spade work to let Crolla reduce the leeway, and before half time, Johnston made the score 2-2.
Nairn resumed without McPhee and the RAF without Gerrard, both of whom were injured.
Manderson gave Nairn the lead for the first time fifteen minutes after the restart then Johnstone had a brilliant effort to make Nairn's lead 4-2.
About twelve minutes from the end Henderson reduced the Airmen's leeway.
