Match Report

The Military eleven finished on top gear against Nairn on Saturday. After being two goals down they scored three in the last twenty minutes to win the North Emergency League fixture at Nairn.

Nairn had the upper hand in the first half, and Webster and Mennie scored to give the homesters a two-goal lead at half time.

Encouraged by a large contingent of supporters, the Military XI gradually gained supremacy in the second half. Penalty converted at second try by Hazle gave the visitors the necessary zest and Hobbs equalised with a great shot. Then about four minutes before the finish Fergusson notched the winner after a spinning ball had deceived the Nairn goalkeeper.
